Accessibility statement

Si View Metropolitan Park District wants everyone in the Snoqualmie Valley to be able to find programs, register and plan a visit online. This concept is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

What we do

  • A skip link, clear page landmarks and one H1 per page with logical headings.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 and visible focus outlines.
  • Menus, slideshows, filters and the photo viewer all work with a keyboard.
  • Tap targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on phones and tablets.
  • Alt text on every image and real text instead of words inside images.
  • Slideshows pause on request and do not move for people who prefer reduced motion.
  • Filter results are announced to screen readers.

Online registration is provided by DaySmart Recreation. We work with vendors to improve accessibility but do not control their sites.
